After the arrival of the first twenty-five TDH-5105's (#1201-1225) on October 20, 1953,
the then busy Grand Belt line became one of the first bus lines to be serviced by these
40-foot coaches. Coach #1208 is seen in this photo headed westbound on W. Grand Blvd.
near Third, having just past the Fisher Building (seen in the distant background) on its
way to the Wyoming Loop. An additional 75 (#1226-1300) began arriving in January
1954, just in time to replace the first PCC's on Jefferson Avenue, on February 7, 1954.
This photo shows the interior front view of a DSR TDH-5105 "old-look" coach. The color
decor was a combination of pink upper panels above window level, light green around the
windshield area and mid-panels, dark gray front dash and blueish-green color side panels
and doors. Also displayed above is the "GM COACH" logo, and the GM Coach builder's
plate, both in use during that era. [left photo courtesy of the Schramm Collection]
The  fleet of TDH-5105's which began arriving on March 14, 1956 (#1330-1480), were
delivered sporting the new redesigned DSR color scheme of cream with green trim.  The
previous fleet (#1201-1329) were later repainted. Coach #1534, was one of the last 75
"old-looks" (#1481-1555) to be delivered beginning in August 1957. [Schramm Collection]
After the PCC streetcars were eliminated on Woodward Avenue on April 8, 1956, the
GM "old-looks" provided the service on Woodward, as seen in the above photo. Coach
#1411 is headed northbound to McNichols, from Woodward and Owens (Clairmount).

The above two photos (taken in Oct 1968) show DSR TDH-5105's, still sporting the
cream and green livery in their later years while parked at the Shoemaker Terminal.
